Anilao Diving Photography – October 28, 2012

On the second day of the diving weekend, we went night diving at Anilao Pier where I was able to take photos of an octopus, and 2 kinds of shrimp. There were other creatures but the photos didn’t come out well. On the last day of the diving weekend, we dove Arthur’s Rock where I took some macro photography. I’m quite happy, with several creatures captured on photos. The new philosophy of nature tripping–take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but bubbles.

Farewell to a Good Public Servant, Sec. Jesse Robredo

The Nation loses a fine public servant.The void Sec. Jesse has left won’t be easily filled. But his passing should be the start of a revolution…Like Ninoy’s passing on Aug. 21 started a freedom revolution,let Aug. 21 be the start of a good governance revolution in Sec. Jesse’s name.

Lessons Learned Well

My wife was uncomfortable letting our son go on a school field trip to Ilocos Norte. Our first born son is already 20 years old but to my wife he will always be her “baby”. It was eight years before our second son was born, so for that period of time, he was our precious little prince. Of course, now that we have four sons, they all are our little kings at home.

She tried to persuade him not to go until the very last minute. The dengue outbreak in Ilocos Sur became an issue, although I tried to downplay it. Later on I would confess to my wife that I withheld information from her about an earthquake that happened in Ilocos Norte a day before my son left for the northern province.
