Some political leaders of mine had themselves branded with a tattoo of my image and cartoon icon. Talk about loyalty. They have been with me from the beginning of my political career and supported me through thick and thin. My most sincere appreciation goes out to them. Salamat! Maibabalik ko rin sa inyo ang inyong kabutihang pinakita sa akin.. SEMPER FI!

One leader had my 2010 Senatorial Campaign Icon, a cartoon version of my image.

This leader had my photo tattooed on her arm, based on the official photo I used when I was still in Congress. Along with the image are the words "Tatak Biazon", which we used as a campaign slogan denoting the kind of public service that we delivered, marked by dedication, transparency and sincerity.

I have always known Jesse Robredo, who served as a city Mayor and a secretary of the Interior and Local Government, as a man of humility yet dedicated public service. He didn’t seek the limelight and just worked with excellence.

The Nation loses a fine public servant.The void Sec. Jesse has left won’t be easily filled. But his passing should be the start of a revolution…Like Ninoy’s passing on Aug. 21 started a freedom revolution,let Aug. 21 be the start of a good governance revolution in Sec. Jesse’s name.
