About Ruffy

Ruffy Biazon is the current Commissioner of Customs and a former member of the Philippine House of Representatives, serving in the 12th, 13th and 14th Congress from 2001 to 2010. He represented the Lone Congressional District of Muntinlupa City.
At the end of his three terms, he is credited with the authorship/co-authorship of 44 Republic Acts, for which he was cited by the Philippine Daily Inquirer as “one of the most prolific legislators”. The Philippine Graphic Magazine included him as one of the Top 100 Young Leaders of the country and the Philippines Free Press Magazine as an Outstanding Congressman.
On September 16, 2011, Ruffy took his oath as the second Commissioner of Customs under the administration of President Benigno Aquino III.
Ruffy is a techie, maintaining his own website, social networking sites and blogs. His hobbies include scale models, photography, airsoft wargames and DJ mixing. Writing is also a passion of his, which provides an outlet for his emotions and thoughts.
Ruffy has four sons with Trina, his wife of 20 years.
